In the presence of history

Just a quick note with this picture that I took this week. Pictured is Ryne Sandberg of Cubs fame back in the friendly confines of Wrigley FIeld. This time he was coaching third base for the Peoria Chiefs, the Single-A ball club associated with the Chicago Cubs.

This was certainly a historic night that I was excited to be a part of. The only real down to the evening was that we were all ready and lined up behind the center field wall for a rare opportunity to run the bases at Wrigley when the heavens opened and the rains came down suspending the game with a 6-6 tie. What a missed opportunity.

But the kids had fun as evidenced here and I hope it is something they can look back on and say "We were there"
